Dee Saigal

Dee Saigal is the Founder, CEO and Creative Director of Erase All Kittens - the first game designed to inspire girls to code by teaching them professional languages via story-driven gameplay. After graduating from Central Saint Martins in London and completing an MA in Advertising, Dee worked as an international creative and writer for six years. In 2015, she started designing a code game with two friends whilst freelancing, with the aim of making it as fun and easy as possible for young children - particularly girls - to learn coding skills which can be applied to create in the real world.

Erase All Kittens is set in a magical internet universe where players need to learn coding skills e.g. HTML, to build and fix levels in order to save cute, fluffy kittens from the evil rebellion - Operation E.A.K. Solely through word-of-mouth, the game has 150,000 players worldwide, and over half of them are girls, as opposed to an estimated 18% for other coding tools. The team are raising funds to build a more educational and gamified version, teaching HTML, CSS and Javascript - with the aim of helping to close the gender gap in tech.

Dee Saigal's Project

Erase All Kittens is a revolutionary, online game that's changing how we approach teaching coding, especially for girls. Bringing creativity and engaging storytelling to the fore, equipping them with the coding skills essential for 21st Century degrees and careers.
