Join A Gym or Running Club

Exercising with friends and colleagues can be a great way to get fit and have a great time whilst you’re at it!

Benefits of starting or joining a fitness club are:

  • Mutual support – Someone to celebrate with when you reach a new personal best and encouragement when you need.
  • Advice for experts – It’s likely that you’ll be running or exercising with more experienced runners or exercisers, so you’ll be able to keep up tips to avoid injuries and bad habits.
  • Well designed routes or routines – If you’re in a group, you’ll need give a thought to your route or routine. You’ll need to make it suitable and safe for everyone in the group.

Ask in your workplace to see if anyone is interested or see what’s available at your local sports centre.
